Kmart

Senior Product Designer 2022 - Present

Kmart is Australia’s leading department store, operating 325 locations across Australia and New Zealand. The brand is recognised for offering affordable, stylish products to a wide range of customers.

I joined Kmart’s online team to contribute to the redesign and development of their mobile application, which was initially built as a web-wrapped app. My work has included collaborating on the design system, conducting customer research, leading a team of mobile UX/UI designers, and supporting product strategy. Additionally, I’ve worked on identifying optimisation opportunities aimed at improving the app’s performance and user experience.

During this time, the team has focused on creating new Flutter-based screens for the purchase journey, balancing redesign efforts with the introduction of new features to support trade and loyalty initiatives. Since the project began, the app has seen an increase in monthly active users from 250K to over 1 million, and app store ratings have improved from 2.8 to 4.5 stars.

Artisan Digital

UI/UX Designer 2011 - 2021

Artisan Digital is a Melbourne-based UI/UX design agency specialising in high-volume, high-transactional web and native applications. The agency collaborates with both local and global sportsbooks, offering expertise in product strategy, UX research, UI design, and prototyping.

During my time at Artisan Digital, I contributed to the development of a streamlined design-to-development pipeline. This system allowed designers to build directly from a shared component library, simplifying handover and enabling rapid, iterative design solutions that could be deployed quickly to production. I also mentored and managed junior designers, consulted on product strategy, and worked on large-scale redesign projects, including multi-million-dollar efforts for Sportingbet and Centrebet.

Notably, I was involved in designing Sportingbet's first mobile website and native application during a period of significant growth for the company. This expansion culminated in Sportingbet's acquisition by William Hill in 2013
